Diploma in composition in 1993 with Summa cum Laude at "Berklee College of Music" (Boston). Composition and South Indian Classical Music studies at Sweelinck Conservatory. (Amsterdam). PHD with maximum grade (Cum Laude) at "Universidad Autónoma" (Madrid) related to ornamental and microtonal transcription in flamenco music. "Ornamentación y microtonalidad en la debla. He has received the prize from the Fine Arts Spanish Academy at Rome (Prix de Rome) in 1994. Other public and private grants and scholarships by the Spanish Ministry of Culture (1996), "A.I.E." and Berklee College of Music. Awarded with the prize of "Broadcasting Art" (2010) by RNE (Public Spanish Radio Station) and Fundación Altadís (2008).

His classical XX century music has been programmed around Europe and U.S.A. with the support of several institutions: Gaudeamus Foundation, "Instituto Cervantes", Aspen Music Festival, "Comune di Roma" and the Spanish Foreign Office among others. Besides he is composing, arranging, performing and producing flamenco, jazz and African music projects. He has got the prestigious award "Villa de Madrid" in 2008 with his project "De ida y vuelta" as producer, composer and performer.
He has also extensively worked for theatre and dance for companies like the Cuban National Ballet or "Centro Dramático Nacional" (Spain) and produced and arraganged the TV Soocer anthem for Sudafrica 2010 (TV channel "Cuatro").
Currently teacher at University ( CES Don Bosco) and private conservatorium (CS Katarina Gurska). Former teacher at "Conservatorio Superior de Oviedo" (2007-2010), gives lectures and seminars in Universities and conservatories around Spain, also has been professor during one year in an international cooperation project in Indonesia.
